Just played one in a store down the street and it was a hoot, but too rich for my blood at the moment. Unless I can find a nice used one somewhere that's maybe a bit more of a bargain. Contact me if you've got one looking for a new home.

Nobody has a bargain on a reso.

If you dig the sound of the Johnson, you haven't yet heard the best. Wait until you hear a National ($1K) or the like.

It's worth the additional dough for the reso afficionados. Personally, I can't stand the sound.

Look for a Republic. I bought mine from Guitar Safari in San Pedro. Same price but apparently much better quality control. Same size, too - concert (damn - I REALLY prefer tenor!) I have a review of the Republic at:
