Hi,

just wanted to introduce myself to the forum I'm Jon from the uk and I have just started to learn bluegrass banjo. It would be great to hear from others in the UK. I'm sure I will be asking loads of questions so please bear with me! I've been wanting to learn to play as long as I can remember and thought it is now or never so I have taken the plunge.

Jon

Hi Jon,

Welcome to ezFolk! I've got some simple bluegrass banjo tutorials that might be helpful for you. There are 3 different levels and each has just a couple of techniques. Each one builds on the other and songs are presented at those same levels. You can find the tutorials here...

http://www.ezfolk.com/bgbanjo/tutorials/tutorials.html

... and you can find the tablatures here...

http://www.ezfolk.com/bgbanjo/tablature/tablature.html

Let me know if you have any questions about any of them. There hasn't been much interest in bluegrass banjo around here but I like it and would like to see some people give it a try. I'm going to try to do some videos before long to go along with those tutorials.

I'm also new. Just got a Banjo 3 weeks ago, and learning the first lessons. When I watch Earl Scruggs & Co. I wander if I'll ever get there.

Sure we will;)
