Hi, uke-folks,

On http://www.ukuleldisco.com I've heard a very lovely song from a girl named Alison. Unfortunately I can't find any lyrics and chords in the internet. And it's very difficult for mee to understand all the words she sing. Can you help me? You will find the great ukulele-stuff here:

Thank you very much, Jackie.

I've listen to the song a few times. That's the result (sometimes senseless). Du you have other suggestions? Please, correct me.

Satellite

Satellite, stay awake tonight,
though it’s a lady might still try to call,
to send a sign do a singing line,
o patron saint is a-separatin’,
satellite stay awake.

Sleepy sky
Spread your blanket wide
To that a love of mine so far way
Crossed the sea
Where we cannot be
Cover us
With your starry dust
don’t sky, spread your blanket wide.

You know it’s ever so hard
Being apart
I’m searching for help everywhere
You might be surprised
of the angels you find
when you hold her, hold only one prayer.

Western wind,
Would you help a friend
Sinds you heading that way anyhow
Got to him blow across his skin
And whisper low: I miss him so.
O wind, won’t you help a friend.

You know it’s ever so hard
Being apart
I’m searching for help everywhere
You might be surprised
of the angels you find
when you hold her, hold only one prayer.

Satellite, stay awake tonight,
though it’s a lady might still try to call,
to send a sign through/to a singing line,
o patrons, saint is a-separatin’,
satellite stay awake.

Stay awake, stay awake, stay awake.

Hey there! This is the guy that made the original post on Fleamarket music. Together we can do this. Its an awesome song. I'm surprised that more people havent asked these questions. I'll get the chords put on the lyrics here soon. The corrections are in red. -shawn

Satellite, stay awake tonight,
though it’s
late he might still try to call,
to send a sign
through a singing line,
o patron saint
of the seperated
satellite stay awake.

Sleepy sky
Spread your blanket wide
To that a love of mine so far way
Cross the sea
Be our canopy
Cover us
With your starry dust
Oh sky, spread your blanket wide.

You know it’s ever so hard
Being apart
I’m searching for help everywhere
You might be surprised
of the angels you find
when
your whole heart, holds only one prayer.

Western wind,
Would you help a friend
Since you heading that way anyhow
Got to him blow across his skin
And whisper low: I miss him so.
O wind, won’t you help a friend.

You know it’s ever so hard
Being apart
I’m searching for help everywhere
You might be surprised
at the angels you find
when
your whole heart, holds only one prayer

Satellite, stay awake tonight,
though it’s
late he might still try to call,
to send a sign
through a singing line,
o patron saint
of the seperated
satellite stay awake.
Stay awake, stay awake, stay awake.

Hey guys - I'm on the bandwagon, too! My wife is in Iraq and we used to play ukulele together before she left, so this song has special meaning for me. I'd love to learn the chords for it before she gets back (which is soon) so if anyone knows, I'd love it if you'd share them. P.S. I made some minor corrections to the lyrics (in parens) - minor stuff, though, but I thought I'd help out where I could!

P.S. I think the original post in Flea Market music is right that it's tuned ADF#B is right but dang I can;t figure the chords out..

Satellite, stay awake tonight,

to send a sign through a singing line,
o patron saint of the sep(a)rated

I'd like to second someone putting the chords to this for GCEA tunning if at all possible as it's a real sweet song, and thanks to all for sorting the lyrics!

I dunno - I've tuned every uke in the house to the alternate tuning and it still doesn;t quite match. I am wondering if it's the deep body ion her uke that gives it that special sound...

Use a fixed width font if you want things to line up. Try using Courier or New Courier and make sure it's right before posting, then everything should stay the same.

Hey folks,

I used chordfinder's ADF#B ukulele tuning to get the tabs for the ez chords - here they are:

C - 3211
G - 2010
F - 0331
Am- 0231
D7- 0001
E7maj5 - 3021

Thanks again!

P.S. I wonder if she has any idea what an Internet ukulele cult following she is garnering?!

I found her on a photograph. She plays ukulele in a band. Unfortunately the link to the band is broken. Have a look:
