I have been playing the Ashgrove as a mandolin duet with friends and recently decided to try it on the uke.  It works using the top three strings for melody so it can be played with re-entrant tuning.  Since I don't know how to post a tab here, I'll give you a link to my banjohangout.org page.  If you click on the tab it will give you a big enough enlargement to be able to read.  I hope you and your uke buddy enjoy this.

Thanks. I'm not familiar with the song, but the melody seems pretty, so I'll look for an MP3 or sound clip to hear it. Then I can make a better stab at it.

Ian,

I know that Collingwood is a long drive to Port Hope, but I thought I'd let you know that a group of uke enthusiasts known as the Nothumberland Uke Orchestra have started gathering in the upstairs room at The Beamish House pub in Port Hope on the third Tuesday of each month from 7-9 pm.  It was inspired by our friend David Newland who runs the Corktown Ukulele Jam in Toronto at the Dominion on Queen each Wednesday night.  Ours is just beginning, but we had eight people show up for the first meeting.
