I was just poking around, tempting myself with new uke acquisitions, when I cam upon this site: http://www.wailing-guitars.co.uk/ Stuart Wailing makes two lines of reso ukes, one with brass body and the pther, aluminum, both soprano. I'm interested in the aluminum model specifically, since it's the only remotely affordable soprano resonator I've ever seen (With shipping to the US, a Wailing Reso is just a bit more than a Recording King or Republic) If anyone knows anything, please share! PS - Check out all of the color options!

With shipping to the US, the aluminum model costs around $350, which is just a bit more than Recording King... Although I do wonder how the aluminum body affects the sound.

Hi, I play a 'Stuart Wailing' Reso Mandolin which was made for me in December 2008. It is a wonder to play, hear and look upon! If the quality of the aluminium bodied instruments is anywhere near as good as the bell brass mando that I play, (& I have no reason to believe that they would be anything other than superb), they should be snapped up.
