I have several computer files of songs with the chord names (such as C7 or E flat) above the lyrics. I would like to convert those files to files with the chord diagrams above the lyrics instead of the chord names. There are several DOS based programs that do it at:  http://www.jerrydallal.com/UKE.HTM.
Does anyone know of a Windows (for Windows XP) program that will do the conversion if the song file is inputted into the program?
Thanks.
Richard

There's an online site that does it. I saw the link on one of the uke forums and tested the site a few months back. Search all the forums and ask there, too. Meanwhile I'll see if I saved it anywhere.

I'd be keen to find this programme too. All the ancient manuscript for show tunes etc had tiny chord pictures above the music. It's a very good system.

Depending on how much work you want to do, Tabledit will allow you to do this. You might be able to import the file (if it is ASCII) into tabledit, then, you would need to build the chord diagram library, but it can be saved and reused, and place the correct diagram above the tab where you want it.

You will need the full version to be able to save and/or print tabs that are over 16 measures long (about $50 US), but the program is worth it, in my opinion.
