Great looking uke.  Would like to hear it when it's done.  If it sounds as good as it looks you've got a keeper there Neal.

Oh, my, I didn't make it...It's a Glyph.  Those are the hands of Dave Means.  Ain't it beautiful?  It's mahogany, top back and sides.  Tenor.

Wow, those are some very nice looking curly mahogany.  I thought they were mango or koa.

Is Dave a little behind schedule?  I recall reading somewhere your tenor was estimated to be done in November.  I know he has a lot going on so it wouldn't be surprising it's taking him more time.

Congrats on the new uke.  Be sure to post some pictures and sounds when you have it.

Very nice Neal, that binding looks similar to the Mango Mezzo I have, but theres more layers in your binding.... the Purpleheart accents blend well with the lighter color of the mahogany..  and yeah, it does kinda look like Mango. The build pics I got from Dave at the same stage looks similar to yours in its unfinished state.. but I see  more "honey" color in the mahogany. sweeet..! Dave does such fine work. it is truely an uke that you cant put down. Congrats on the new uke!

 couple pics of Mango (eyecandy..):D.

Thanks gang, can't wait.  I think it's bloodwood purfling, I fergit...  I had one of Dave's first sopranos for about a year, the myrtlewood one on his site.  Great uke, sold it, but it did make me want to get on his list some time ago.  I love mahogany.

Funny thing, I've been a tenor freak for the last good while, and came into a Gibson style 3 sop, and can't put the durn thing down... Now I can even the obsession out a bit with this new tenor.

What tuners are you having installed?  Dave does great work.  I tested Dominator's uke two years ago and the Glyph would be my first choice for a custom.

That's good.   I like the binding and the fretboard.  Nice dressing on the frets.  What strings are you going to put on?

Aquila low g at first.  I'll decide later.  I like Worth CDs but don't like the low g on that set.  I prefer wound on the G and C if I can get it.
