Does anyone know a way I can get a Tahitian ukulele here in the states or how much they cost?
I can't find anywhere that sells them online, and I'm really interested in getting one because they seem so odd.

well, the Tahitian banjo (what it's normally called), or 'ukulele, is a really hard instrument to find. you can try on ebay, if you're lucky. not only is the instrument itself hard to find, if you break a string, you'd probably have to fly to Tahiti to find replacement strings. the strings are these green (usually) nylon type, but are a really thin gauge. you can't use normal 'ukulele strings or classical type nylon strings because of the Tahitian banjo's unusual high toned twangy sound.

like i said, your best bet would be ebay. Good luck

I've seen them in Southern California. There's a shop in Oceanside that has them. Call them.

wassup UkeForever. i checked out that link you provided and the Tahitian banjo on the wall looks like it was a custom hand crafted one, probably by the owners of the store or perhaps someone they know. i;m wondering how much that one costs because the ones that i was speaking of are the authentic ones made in Tahiti. And those costs a bunch. if u can find made locally in your area, awesome.

Good call UkeForever!!
