I am a newbie uke player. My tenor uke has reentrant (high G) GCEA tuning. I would like to try reentrant (high A) A,D,F#,B tuning on it. Can I use the same strings for both tunings or do I need to buy separate strings for the reentrant A,D,F#B tuning to avoid damaging the uke or strings? Thanks. In a word, no. Martin strings are, or were anyway, specifically for D tuning, but you can move any of them up a step.
