Hi everyone.....a few months ago as a newcomer to the ukulele ,I posted a note asking for some feedback about a Koloa soprano ukulele.......I have taught mysef a few chords since then and had great fun trying to strum and sing a few songs to myself.....but I still have not had any feedback . Maybe I posted in the wrong category or something. All that I wanted to know was if this uke was suitable for a beginner and if anyone knows anything about the back ground of it.

Hope to hear from some one :( . Thanks a lot.......VJC 76

If it works, stays in tune up the neck and feels comfortable, I'd say you're on the right track. Play it until you can play some higher end ukes, then you'll know exactly. I see Elderly Instruments carries those, they look pretty decent. Keep playing.

Higher end ukes are just that, more money, better build (usually..). High G is also called re-entrant, you can google that for the full description. Fake books are music books with simplified chords above the words so folks like you can play the songs without having to read the fly specks on a graph some call "musical notation". I don't read the fly specks either.

Google is your friend.
