I am a relatively new tenor ukulele player. I would like to learn how to play slide ukulele using a finger bottleneck. As I understand it, playing slide guitar/ukulele also requires retuning the instrument but I don't know much about it.
Do you know of any sources for learning to play slide ukulele - on the web, books, etc?
Thanks.
Richard

I'd tune the first string down two half steps to G to give you an open C chord.  This would put your uke tuned relatively like a dobro. but in C instead of G.  You could then use tabs and info from http://www.dobrohangout.com or any dobro teaching method.

Maybe you know by now that there is an ebook being sold on the UkeHunt site to teach slide ukulele.

Being a slide kind of guy (cigar-box guitars)... An open tuning is pretty much standard. If your action is too low, you'll get a lot of fret rattle unless you have a very light touch with the slide.
Although he's playing mandolin; check out some of Sam Bush's slide work. Give you some idea of what can be done with a small instrument.
