To Those of you have have the ukulele version of the Stars and Stripes wired, how do you strum it with out quickly wearing off your finger nail? I tend to play it with the forefinger nail on the downstroke. Since there is a lot of up the neck playing it seems that more thrust is required to get the volume, which of course wears things down.

Wondered, maybe there is a better way to attack this, if anyone has any ideas?

I've been looking for the chord solo Stars and Stripes Forever. Any suggestions?
