Seeing that the tuning of the Baritone uke is the same as a guitar tuning (D-G-B-E) I can see that you can use the same chord structures on the baritone. My question is what do you do about the 5th-6th missing bass notes of the guitar that aren't available on the uke. Obviously you can play the chord without them but won't that result in a chord that sounds rather shallow or incomplete? Can you pick up these notes somewhere else on the 1-2-3-4 strings of the uke? Would this result in lots of different voicings? I hope I am making myself clear................................................ I also am thinking about "trying out" some of the specialized standard tuning baritone uke strings (G-C-E-A) or is that just a terrible way to go as far as tone goes? I did have a tenor in the past but I really like the little extra size of the baritone but would like to get more of the real uke sound and I am hoping to do that with some specialty GCEA baritone strings. Any thoughts or comments appreciated. -mo
