Hi folks, I'm trying to play a version of All my Loving, by the Beatles. However, there's one note that my fingers just can't handle: 5 6 5 7 Would you play that with your little finger on the 7th fret. That feels like the most natural way to reach it, but when I reach across, I either smother the over strings with my little finger, or my other three fingers collapse to help the little one reach the top. Is there an easier way to play this that I'm missing.

Index finger: bar the 5th fret Middle finger: E-string, 6th fret Ring finger: G-string, 7th fret Am I reading your chord description the right way? Is that 7565 (GCEA)? On a related note, learning to play a G chord with 2 fingers is useful for this reason.

You know, that just didn't occur to me. Thanks! I'll also try out a G with two fingers. Both suggestions make me feel like a bit of an idiot, for not having discovered them before!

If you play the G chord with two fingers (bar with the index finger & add the middle finger), it's easier to transition to Em just by adding the ring finger. 0232 0432 It's good to be able to play the G chord a couple of different ways, depending on the situation.
