Hi Everybody!  I've been playing the ukulele for like 4 or 5 months nows and I'm kind of at loss.  I've learned a few songs and little strums and picks and things and I've read lots of stuff on the internet and I've gone through Ralph Shaw's Complete Ukulele Course dvd.  The thing is, I'm not quite sure where to go now.  I wondered if anyone had any advice about what I might try and tackle next for general ukuleleness and understanding.

Thanks!

Try playing songs that you already know and like and practice your chord transitions.  Keep adding to your repertoire and play until you no longer need the chord sheet because you know the song(s) by heart.  Once you build yourself a repertoire, you'll never run out of songs to learn.

Well cool.  Sounds good to me.  Sorry I took so long to respond, I kinda forgot I had posted.

Try learning some of the songs on Dominator's website.  Go to the Tabs section.

Email him for the stuff that are no longer on the website.  Many of the tabs he has are pretty challenging, but extremely rewarding to learn.

He also has a few video tutorials.  Here's a series of videos he just put up recently teaching "Something" by the Beatles:

Try to challenge yourself to learn some of the more difficult stuff.  I started learning from Dominator's tabs about 4-5 months into ukulele playing and it's been very enjoyable.  Being able to play some Jake Shimabukuro's songs, for me, is priceless.

Thanks!  That's some pretty intense stuff.  I ought to be busy for a while.
