There is a book by Mark Nelson on fingerpicking that is worth it's price in gold. Order directly from him. It's called "Fingerstyle Solos for Ukulele". Last edited on Tue Sep 18th, 2007 06:07 am by honu |

There are some books with his songs like this one... http://www.ezfolk.com/cgi-bin/ae.pl?asinsearch=0757936717 I'm not sure how the tablature is... whether it's mostly guitar tab or maybe just mostly chords and lyrics, or possibly uke tab.

I agree about the Mark Nelson book. My copy arrived today and it is definitely worth the $19.95 I paid for it.

Brudda Iz did a lot of finger picking. " Facing Future" has a couple of picking songs - "la Elima" and "White Sandy Beach". Sometimes he uses an alternating pick, sometimes he does a 4-3-2-1 pick. Oh, and get the Mark Nelson book. Last edited on Sun Oct 14th, 2007 04:31 am by mwalimu |
