Many uke players like Worth fluorocarbon strings. Fluorocarbon is denser even than Nylgut (both are denser than nylon), and is thinner, making it possible to create a string set with fewer metal-wound strings. I've never tried flurocarbon strings myself, because I don't change uke strings unless they break. Regarding the Amigo ukes - I don't think any of them have a rosewood fingerboard. It's hard to find definite specifications on what the back and sides and fretboard are made of. The back and sides appear to be made of a very light colored wood, so it's probably not the usual mahogany or nato - it might be laminated maple.
