Well a total beginner to the uke here. I do already play banjo, madolin, guitar and bass. But i really love the beautiful sound of a uke. All i was wondering really, is what is the best one to buy? I have been looking at sites but they dont really say what a good beginner one would be, dont want to spend much here tho, im already in debt to my parents. I know to get good ones i need to spend more but just really want the best one for the least money All i have found so far is this one, which i like the look of: http://www.jumpingflea.com/productdetail/~Model/LU21~/d.html Any further ideas very grateful thanks tom

Hi Tom, I haven't played one of the Lanikai ukes that your link points to but I've heard good things about the Lanikai ukes. Could be a very good uke for the money. Last week I received one of each of the new Samick ukes (UK50, UK70, and UK70B). They are all nice and a good value for the money, but I was most impressed by the cheapest one ($39.99)... the UK50. It plays beautifully, sounds great, has nice low action, geared tuners, and looks pretty good too. I'd recommend it highly to anybody interested in an entry level uke. You can find it at the following link if you want to take a look... http://www.music123.com/Samick-UK-50-Ukulele-i130216.music?source=linkshare Good luck... Richard
