Ive been looking for about a week with my lack of online searching capabilities for the Fingering for Panama Red. I went to RUKIND.com. Which is the Greatful Dead tab site made by the Dead. It said is on the Old and in the Way album from i beleive New Riders of the Purple Sage (jerry garcia's bluegrass band) Or it is an actuall song.. It was a bit confusing on that. Hey, Dude! (I've always wanted to say that  )Old and In The Way [bwas a bluegrass group composed of Vassar Clements, fiddle; Jerry Garcia, banjo; David Grisman, Mandolin; John Kahn, Bass; and Peter Rowan, Guitar. I just took their That High Lonesome Sound cd out of rotation.  Keep on pickin'Brad ps. - I've only heard the title Panama Red, but never heard the song.

Hi the band that did old and in the way was the name of the album. Jerry Garcia also played on the album with Vassr Clements. This is the cover to the album . You can find it on amazon.com
