Hey there eveyone, i ust aquired a bluegrass banjo about a month ago and decided to teach myself how to play. And im starting to wonder if that was a mistake. I cant read music very well for any stringed instrument, and i cant find any tabs for the banjo that are relativly easy. All i have is a chord chart that i made myself that has all the chords on it. anyway, i want to know if theres any website that offers free lesons for the banjo at all, cause it would really help. thanx-Jorge btw, does anyone know where i can find any Flogging Molly Banjo Tabs? i already have Devil's Dance Floor and the intro to Drunken Lullabies. i need more!!

Hi Jorge, I don't know who Flogging Molly is but I'm guessing their banjo arrangements might be a bit over your head at the present time. Take time to learn the basics of playing and if you'll learn the techniques of playing you'll eventually be able to play pretty much anything you want without the need for tablature. The tablature on ezFolk is arranged with "Level 1" tabs being very easy for beginners to play and there are a number of different songs with Level 1 tabs. There are easy free videos to show you each of the 3 techniques used at Level 1. You can find them here... http://www.ezfolk.com/bgbanjo/ Watch the videos and read the simple lessons and that will give you a foundation to start learning from. Once you're comfortable with those three simple techniques try some of the Level 1 arrangements on this page... http://www.ezfolk.com/bgbanjo/tablature/tablature.html After you're comfortable with Level 1, then read the lessons for Level 2 and try some of the arrangements, and then go to Level 3 after that. Learning bluegrass banjo takes a while and a lot of practice, so give it some time. If you need help reading the banjo tablature, you can find it here... http://www.ezfolk.com/banjo/Tutorials/Reading_Tablature/reading_tablature.html Hope that helps! Free free to ask questions.
