Just so you know you aren't being ignored, I can't find it on google - lots of tab books there with it in them, though.

here are the lyrics if that helps

I want a little girl, call my own.
She must be someone who's all alone now.
Say, I want a little girl to fall in love with me, oh yeah.

I want a little girl, but she may not look
Just like a picture in a story book.
If she can cook chicken, yeah, she'll suit me to a T.

And she don't have to wave her hair
Or even wear fancy clothes, I wouldn't even care.
She don't wear nylon hose, oh.

I want a little girl to love a lot.
You know that I'd give her everything I got.
I want a little girl to fall in love with me.

Well, I've been searching too with no success, so I figured I'd just tune in my ear.

I'm pretty sure this is a regular I IV V blues, starting at Fm.

So I guess it goes:

Fm  Bb

Fm  Bb

Cm7  Bb  Fm

Again, pretty sure is not fully sure, I'm guessing I'm missing some 7ths and whatnows, but basically this is it.

The Song as played by Eric Clapton on Youtube is in Ab.  I've tried to transpose the chart you gave and I'm having trouble.  I was able to figure out the opening, but I'm having trouble with the verse.

For the intro, I have:

 A♭ A♭7 D9 G♭7 A♭-G-F-B E7 E♭7   A♭                 E7      E♭7  E9-E♭9-D9 A♭

Am I doing something wrong or does this match?

What you have done is probably correct;

I forwarded what I had found elsewhere, without trying to play it first;

I'll take a look at You Tube.

Maybe you can post your corrected version?

Sorry for any confusion;

And Thanks.

Deaconblues.

Thank you for the quick reply.  I've been playing a while, but the blues are new for me.  I'm still trying to get the hang of it.

This is what I have for the intro:

  A♭ A♭7 D9 G♭7 A♭-G-F-B E7 E♭7   A♭                 E7      E♭7  E9-E♭9-D9 A♭
|-4---4---4---2---4312---7---6----4-|-----------------------------------765-4--|
|-4---4---4---2---4314---9---8----4-|-----------------------------------765-4--|
|-5---5---4---3---5424---7---6----5-|------/12-10---9h10-------8h9------765-5--|
|-6---4---3---2---6534---9---8----6-|/9-10--------------10--------9-----654-6--|
|-6---6---4---4---6532---7---6----6-|---------------------11-8-----10-7-765-6--|
|-4---4-------2---431-------------4-|---------------------------------------4--|

I'm still trying to figure out the verse.  It doesn't exactly follow the intro.

I'm a new member here. I'm wondering if you have a better lead sheet for the song I want a little girl. I need the chords on top of the words for each line like a fake book would have or a chord chart. I'm a new blues singer and am Jamming a lot. I play simple keyboard chords. please help. I've tried to find a lead sheet on line and can't find one anywhere but i found you. thanks

Find some Piano Chords freeware on the Internet and transpose the guitar chords provided above to piano chords and you should have what you need.

I see the chords, but the confusion is what bars and measure's they're being played. I can read music and charts but these seem kinda jumbled up. thanks
