I just finished tabbing out the melody to "Dueling Banjos", and have posted it here for anybody who is interested.

There is a Chord run in it, but I believe that is part of the tune, and I have skipped the (fast) second part, but it is really just a chord progression of 2 measures each of C, G, and D(7) (I almost always use the V7 chord in my playing).

This should get you started on the tune, at least. Remember that the actual tune is copyrighted, so this is my version, and is only for study and private use.

:thumbs2: enjoy, and keep on pickin'

Thanks for posting the tab Brad. Hope you don't mind that I downloaded it and just did a copy and paste to cut out the extra step of people having to download it. Feel free to post any tabs in this section like that (remember to use the Courier font so everything comes out even.

Richard-
Sorry I didn't think to do that step, but I was sort of hurrying at the time. I will try to remember this step in the future

Simon,

You can't play that particular tab on the uke since it's a banjo tab. I play it clawhammer style on the uke and it's pretty easy and lots of fun to play. Maybe I'll do a tab of it sometime. There's the copyright thing to consider, but maybe I can do something different enough since it's just 3 chords and a simple melody. Seems like the original Dueling Banjos is almost identical to Bugle Call Rag, which I'm pretty sure is in the public domain.

:uke:
