The Epiphone AJ200 SCE in particular - gets some good reviews (and the odd very bad one!) - but I'm always very hesitant where Epi are concerned, considering the trouble some of their electrics gave me in years gone by!

It's a low end guitar, but the competition at that price is limited (possibly Crafter are the only real quality option?).

The plugged in sound seems fine in any reviews, and I have played the purely acoustic version of it, and it seemed okay. I'm checking out a second guitar, and a spruce top dread is my preference (I already have a small selection of other acoustics!) - funds are bit limited right now as well! :)

Dan :)

I like the Epiphones that I have tried out, though I've never owned one. I really like the Hummingbird copy model, but have no experience with the AJ200 SCE. My thought is that you can't go too wrong with it from what I have seen.

Somehow I wound up double posting. Sorry about that, Chief.

Hi there

That very much reflects my own thoughts - I think I am just dubious about the Epiphone history of sometimes making stuff that falls apart! :)

cheers

Dan :)
