What are some exceptional acoustic flat pick style guitar manufacturers?  I am looking for one, and I am clueless about what companies to contact.

Peace -

Umm... I think you've got that kind of turned around. I believe the guitar company / manufacturer will would contact you. If you think a company will endorse you for just being able to play guitar, forget it. You have to be one of the best guitarists in the world, and or be innovative in some spectacular way, and then actually use their instruments to get such endorsements.

If you think you got the industry ins and outs all sewn up, especially as it partains to endorsements, yer vision is most likely ubstructed by the self made new age elevator you reside in. It's about visability and marketing aswell as originality and talent. The question, was however, as far as I can tell, directed towards somebody that is helpeful not bitter, perhaps because of their choice to play bland, etherial and ultimately marginally marketable "music"... maybe?. But then again, who am I to make "ass... sumptions" about your place in this industry... or your talent for that matter. How about you, mister info, do you... have the rite? Peace

Ouch.

I never considered myself as bitter, bland or etherial. And my music has never been described that way. But I have been called an a** a few times.

If igneousmusic really wants names of good fingerpicking guitar companies to approach, I can give that. Taylor, Martin, Seagull, Larrivee, Collings, Santa Cruz, Huss & Dalton and McCollum, to name just a few.

But I still stand by my original post. And to your assumption that visability or marketablity is also a pre-requisite for endorsements. It may have a little effect. But innovation and talent is far more important than those. Most artists that I've seen endorsed by guitar companies are either well established, are innotive in some way, or are just wildly talented. Prove me wrong, and I'll retrack my first post. Til then... flame away.

If the logic of the basic post is correct, then it should be a truism. Ergo:

I am an exceptional driver. Perfect record. No accidents. Best insurance rates. And the desire to drive, drive drive is in me. So, can anyone recommend a car company who will give me a great, fully-loaded car and endorse me at the same time?
