I think the stats are working okay now. I checked about a dozen anyway and everything looked fine. Let me know if you're still having a problem with yours though.

Hi, Richard, and Thank you.

My song stats seem ok as far as they go, which is only up to yesterday.  No stats, not even 0's for today.

My video stats are still not working at all.

Peace,

Hey Tony,

Sorry I haven't answered your message from the other day. I got flustered on Friday and took off to the beach... just got back and have over 200 emails in my box.

As they say, "When the going gets tough, the tough go to the beach."

I'll be looking into all of the issues I can but y'all take it easy on me or I'll end up taking another beach trip I can't afford.

One possible thing that comes to mind is that your problems might be related to the Sage theme. The themes are individually designed and each time changes are made in the script, if the themes aren't updated then there might be problems. Currently Flashback is the main theme being used and changes for Sage and Cobalt3 might or might not be included in updates, but it'll be less likely they are updated than Flashback features.

Richard, I am not pressuring you, and I resent the implication and the threat that you are making based on that assumption.  I figured that you were innundated, and I took it upon myself to find a temporary fix for the dysfunction of my site.

Am I the only person using the 'Sage' theme?  I don't think so.  There are quite a few other who, like myself, have spent considerable time and effort customising that theme to create sites that express their individuality.  If Jamroom, or whoever it is that supports these themes, does not see fit to continue to support the 'Sage' theme, perhaps you, as a customer, could relate to them the protest that I, (and I'm sure others,) am voicing to their policy.

As always, thank you for all your efforts.

Peace,

Wow Tony... I don't even know what you're talking about as far as resenting implications and threats. I had to go back and read my message to see what I said.

I did go to the beach for a couple days, but I would think most people would understand that I was kidding with the comments I made.

What threats are you talking about? I mentioned the Sage theme may not be updated. Do you remember all of the old themes we've had over the past few years? Some have been pretty nice but as the Jamroom script has gone along most of those themes have had to be discontinued because the people that wrote them didn't keep up with all of the newer features until the themes became outdated. That's how it goes with this type of thing. We'll keep on adding more usable features on ezFolk as they become available, and I would hope that neither you nor anyone else would view it as some kind of a threat. I can't hardly believe anybody would think of it as a "threat" anyway, or are you talking about something else?

Don't you think "threat" is a bit harsh?

I use the sage theme too (though I am not married to it, I could easily use any of the other themes but I do like sage the best).  I have noticed a few "bugs" but the main thing that I use this site for is to house my mp3s for free.  That is, free for me but at (considerable I'm sure) cost to Richard.  My fear is comments like this and the innundation of e-mails could cause Richard to take a "permanent vacation to the beach".

In my opinion, these things are minor inconveniences compared to the big picture - ezFolk gives me an outlet to house my mp3s and allows me to point, via links or code, to my music and this is a huge advantage for me with not only my personal website but my myspace site as well.  I think we should give Richard some time to work out these bugs, he has always shown that he works through them, eventually sorts them out and gets ezFolk back up to 100%.

I think any of you who deal with software knows that upgrades are part of the game.  Let's give Richard some space and let him work it out - remember, he's an army of one.

Richard - thank you again for all you do!

Mike

Hi, Richard,

I apologise if I have misunderstood your meaning in this statement:

Richard Hefner wrote: ... y'all take it easy on me or I'll end up taking another beach trip I can't afford.
I have always been, and still am, appreciative of all that you do.  And I'm sorry for any burden I have added to your load.

I still stand by my vehement protest at the incipient demise of the customisable themes.

Peace,

Followup:

I have tried 'Cobalt 3' and all the bugs remain -- on my site, as well as the stat bugs in control panel.

I have tried 'Flashback' and all the bugs remain in stats.  On my site, the player bug remains, but, because 'Flashback' uses a different page numbering system, the radio stations are all accessible, each on its own page.

More input:

In 'Sage' I can access my station pages by adding "?p=(page number)" to the search string, so the pages are still there, there is just no way of accessing them from the page, (no 'next page' link, nor page menu.)

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
