Richard -

Yesterday, after posting about 35 tracks from last Friday's jam, I discovered that whenever I attempt to play anything on any artist's site (I tried some of HH's, because he has a different theme, too), iTunes would load but the tune was never loaded or played. If I use the built-in players on the pages, the tunes play. I also have no problem with other sites or radio stations, i.e., Sugar in the Gourd, posts on BHO, FHO, YouTube. These, however (except SitG) use their own players.

Now,  finally, my question: might this be a site problem, or do I have to go looking for an answer from Apple (they did "upgrade" iTunes recently, but it hasn't affected anything other than ezFolk, it seems)?

Thanks,

Brad

Brad,

I don't think it's a site problem. I just went to your TOTMC page and played all four of the songs on the first page of the song section without any problem at all.

According to the site statistics the plays are about the same as they have been so it looks like it wouldn't be a site-wide problem.

If anybody else is having a problem though... let me know.

:hat:

Richard-

Do you have iTunes on your computer? And did you attempt to play them through that program?

No, I don't have iTunes. I know that some people have had some compatibility issues with it on ezFolk in the past but I think they figured out some settings that needed to be changed. Seems like Amy had a problem a while back with it. Try doing a forum search for "itunes" and see what comes up.

Solved-

It's a bug in the latest upgrade in iTunes (7.6)

Once I down-graded to the previous 7.5 version, it works fine.

Thanks for checking, Richard.

For iTune users (iMac, at least), check out the thread here:

on some info on backing down a step. Be careful, I lost my Library - Oh well!!

Hi Brad,

I am running itunes 7.3 on my ipod. I have had a couple songs that will lock up my ipod for about 5 minutes. If I turn my truck off for a minute the ipod controller resets and everything plays fine.

If i keep driving after 4 or 5 minutes it will start playing again. There is something weird between ipods and music I've downloaded from this site. I tend to think the problem is on Apples side.

They all play fine on my computer.

I don't know anything about iPods. Don't have one, don't want one. I still want my music on at least CD's, preferably on vinyl (analog recordings).

I use iTunes to listen on the iMac.
