Richard-

When you click the link to "read more" about the highlighted tune/song that randomly comes up at the top of the page, it takes you to the first page of the "our songs" area. You then have to hunt through all of the songs to find the proper one and then click the "about" link there.

This is very discouraging when you may have to wade through 20+ pages to find the song.

There should be a pop-up window on the blog page.

Brad

My comment exactly about 3 weeks ago when we were "Beta" testing.  It would take you the the general page, and not the specific artist page, or the specific song.  In neither case did it take you to the song, or other specific that the links on the old setup did.

And while they are looking into this, Richard, perhaps they can look at giving listeners the ability to read the lyrics &/or the "Info" links while playing a tune/song from the Albums choice.

I know some of us like to know a bit more about what we are listening to, and being unable to find the info under the Albums area can be irritating.

Well fellas, it is what it is.

There are no lyrics on the album pages, so if you want lyrics you'll need to read them on the song pages.

The "learn more" or "find out more" or whatever links take you to the artist page. Get used to it. If it changes, then it'll be different. If you happen to click on an artist's page and have to go through 20 or 30 pages of song listings, that's because they've got a bunch of songs on there... for free I might add.

Dusty and Brad, you both have more than 100 MP3s on ezFolk. It doesn't cost you a thing. No, it's not perfect, and no, it's not gonna get perfect, so give me a little bit of a break and just go with the flow if you don't mind.

I'm doing the best I can, but I'm working a normal J O B now about 50 hours a week so I'm not able to get in here and do a lot of tweaking.

You are right, Richard.  In my case it is not a complaint per-se, you did ask for comments about the function or not of various aspects of the new system.

If you no longer wish to know, then I won't say anything else about it.

I do appreciate your effort, and sympathize with the complications of your new business endeavor and the difficulties of running this site.

I apologize for sounding like I was ragging you.  That was not, is not and never was the intent.

Richard-

Like Dusty, I, too, apologize for maybe sounding ungrateful! I certainly do not want to be taken that way.

I made the post as a comment on things I found that I thought the programmers (JamRoom?) might take into consideration. Not knowing exactly how they get ideas for upgrades or changes, I made the suggestions through ezFolk.

Like Dusty, I will make no further comments.

Please know that I have nothing but the greatest respect and admiration for everything you have done with the site since I became aware of it around 7 years ago (has it really been that long?).

Again, I apologize for sounding ungrateful.

Brad

Brad and Dusty,

Sorry about being kind of crabby in my previous note. I appreciate both of you for sticking with the site and giving me feedback about things that aren't quite right. I think I'm a little frustrated right now in not having much time to get anything done.

Anyhoo, hopefully we'll get some of these little kinks and annoyances worked out over time. One problem with that is that the system gets a little more complicated with each update, which is good in some ways but opens the door for more things that can possibly go wrong.

BTW, Dusty, did you notice the charts are working now on your MP3 page (and everybody else's)? I'm thinking that's one small step in the right direction.

:thumbs2:

Richard -

Having spent many years in the condition of never enough time for anything, let alone everything, I understand!

And, yes, I did notice that the charts are there, suddenly!

Again, thanks for all your work.

Brad
