Can anyone offer their experience with the Bushman line of harmonicas?

I play mostly Lee Oskar, and I think they are great, but I recently followed a link to the Bushman page and I am intrigued. They appear to be more expensive however, so I am reluctant to shell out the extra cash without some good reviews.

Thanks.

I had Lee Oskars and loved them. Then I bought a set of Bushmans. I find that I like the feel of the Bushman harps a little better and tend to play them a little more often. I have tried to determine exactly what it is I like better, but can't quite put my finger on it. Just feels "smoother" somehow.

Mind you, I am no professional harp player. I was playig quite regularly for a while, but now just break them out of the case once in a blue moon to add some tracks to a recording.

I have two Bushman Delta Frosts in the keys of A, and G. The Delta Frost uses phosphor bronze reeds which produce a fatter, and grittier tone.

Bushman Delta Frosts, are more responsive then Hohners, Lee Oskars, etc, due to the phosphor bronze reeds.

The Delta Frost is probably the easiest harp to bend notes on, again due to the reed material.

The sustain on a Delta Frost is slightly longer then what you'll find on other harps. This can take some getting used to, especially if you play bluegrass. For playing 1st position (melodies), or 2nd position (blues), this is a great harp.

I haven't tried a Bushman Souls Voice, but I understand they are great for 1st position playing.

I've favoured Special 20's for a long time. Decided I don't like the Oscars so much because A) they catch my facial hair more than other brands, and B) they're so fat in my mouth! Sound good though, I'll give you that. Then I got my first Delta Frost a month or so ago, from Harp Depot. I'll be buying those next time I need harps. Something about the sound, I like the one I got and want more! Hoping to get a Harp Commander soon. Never tried a metal comb harp yet. I mostly play cross-harp blues [and a little straight Dylan-style from time to time]. Blow it on a few tunes to add a little colour in the band, while playing bass.

I bought a Delta Frost directly from Bushman. I agree with the general view that these are quality harps for playing blues. They have great tone, rich sound and bend easily.

I will defintely start buying a few as my Lee Oskars blow out.
