Richard, I just want to thank you for 'being there' for those of us interested in cross harp!

I just got my L.O. Melody Maker, G key,  yesterday after toooooo much effort with the retailer.  Now I want to start learning how to play and I have just scratched the surface on this site.

I have 'messed' with a chromatic harmonica for years so now I guess it's just a matter of practicing over and over with the MM until it becomes natural like my old harp did.  I really appreciate all the tabs, videos and advice here.

By the way, I generally use Mozilla Firefox rather than Internet Explorer and that works fine up until I try and post here.  For some reason I can only post when using IE.  Any ideas?

Thanks again,

Jim

Hey Jim,

I'm happy to hear that you got your G Melody Maker and that you'll be trying out the video tabs! I just added a couple more in the harmonica section...

http://www.ezfolk.com/harp

I've got about a half dozen more that I'll be adding as soon as I can. I've recorded the videos but what I've been doing is going back and adding the tablature, which is the most time consuming part of the process.

I think you'll get comfortable with the different note layout very quickly. It took me probably a week or so but that was probably only 2 or 3 hours of practice.

About the IE versus Firefox problem, I ordinarily use IE myself but am using Firefox for this message and it seems fine. I haven't heard any other complaints so I'm not sure what the deal is. You could post a message about that to see if anybody else is having problems. If I find out it's a widespread thing then I would try to look into it further.

I think if you stick with the Melody Maker long enough to get comfortable with it you'll really like it... let me know how it goes.

:thumbs1:
