This is the ezFolk message system. If another member of ezFolk sends you a private message it will be found in this box. You can also send messages to other ezFolk users through this system.

Click on “Inbox” on the top right side of the control panel and the following screen will appear:

If you would like to send a message to any member or artist in the ezFolk system click on “Compose” and the following screen will appear:

This is a closed system to be used exclusively inside ezFolk so you cannot send mail to outside e-mail addresses. To find the correct recipient for your message just click on “Find a User” and the following screen will appear:

Our example user wants to send a note to Richard Hefner so they enter “Richard” into the search box and hit search. All of the names that contain Richard appear. The user clicks on “Richard Hefner” and is returned back to the “Compose” screen with the recipient name filled in:

Just type the message and click on “Send Note” and if the message was sent successfully the following message will appear:

It’s important to note that you can only send messages to people who have their preferences set in their profile to receive private messages. If they do not accept private messages you will receive an error message.

Be sure if you are using the message system that you are accepting private messages so the other party can respond to you.

Meanwhile, Richard Hefner (that’s me) receives an e-mail message through his regular e-mail address that he has a private message waiting for him on ezFolk so he logs in to get the message.

When Richard (the recipient) clicks on the “Inbox” link the following screen appears:

Clicking on the subject title (Help!) brings up the message:

When Richard clicks “Send Note” the following screen appears:

An error message pops up saying that the user is not accepting messages. Once again, be sure if you use the private mail system that your own settings are set in your profile to allow you to accept private messages and to be informed via your regular e-mail address when a private message arrives in your box.

That covers most of what you need to know about the ezFolk message system. There are a few things I didn’t cover such as the “Sentbox” -- it’s just messages that you have sent so you’ll have a record. Messages can be deleted at anytime or forwarded to other ezFolk members similar to a regular e-mail system.
