The Level 2 clawhammer Dulcijo arrangements are a bit more complicated than the Level 1 arrangements with the addition of some double thumbing, drop thumbing, and slurred notes. The details of those techniques won’t be repeated here since they are included elsewhere (just
click on the links to review them).
Keep
in mind as you play these or any of the other Dulcijo tablature
arrangements that it’s not necessary to play things exactly as they are
written. It’s fine to take a little bit from a Level 1 arrangement and
combine it with some of the Level 2 arrangement, or figure out a way to
do it differently (most songs can be played many different ways).
Ultimately you will want to come up with your own arrangements, and if
you stick with it you will probably find that you don’t need tablature
after you have mastered the fundamentals of playing. This is true for
any instrument but even more so for the Dulcijo because of its relative
simplicity when compared with other stringed instruments.
Many
of the arrangements in this section will eventually have corresponding
videos. Be sure to watch the videos to get the best idea of how an
arrangement was meant to be played.
