"Modern Man" was recorded in 1999. The CD contains six vocal tunes, five with a band and one solo with guitar. It also features six clawhammer style banjo instrumentals, with guitar, fiddle and bass accompaniment and four guitar instrumentals (two with overdubs and two solos). All tunes are original and the work is an eclectic folk/rock/Americana effort. Traditional and contemporary sounding in equal doses. Humorous songs, serious picking. The idea behind the work is an appreciation of old time values while being open to the value of "modern" concepts and feelings.
