G'day all,

I've found a use for the writers' block.  If I stand on it I can see the other side.

I'm on the verge of being diagnosed with sleep aponea, or whatever it is that's been keeping me awake since my teens.

Often I'd rouse from a deep wakefulness realising how a particular piece could be played.  There was always an instrument of one sort or another within reach.  Time to get it right.

I can't remember waking from a restful sleep.

I think I've posted comments on all the folk I've listened to.  Sometimes I don't post comments because I'm not the right man to be commenting on your work.

Not to worry.  Please accept hugs here.

Sleep well.

Public Ceilidhs for next Year
 Murphyslore 15 May 2008 02:26 PM comments 0

Murphyslore

We have confirmed two dates for early next year with the possibilty of two more later for Public Ceilidhs. Most of our work is Private for weddings etc, but is it clear that there is an interest generally for a social ceilidh for everyone.

When  I  (Alex) was younger and my Dad used to be in 'The Old Pull and Push' there were public ceilidhs every month it seemed. I well remember dancing the night away at The Tralee Hotel, St.Stephen's Church Hall , Priory Hall, and even the Dorset Room at what was Poole Arts Centre. These were great events attended by many people, young, middle aged and old alike who just enjoyed dancing, socialising and having a few beers with like minded souls.

We were talking to other folkies recently and realised there is a gap for this to return and with that in mind we have agreed with 'Pelhams', Kinson Community Centre in Kinson, Bournemouth to hold two Ceilidhs one on March 6th and the other on 29th May (both Fridays). If these are succesful then there are two more pencilled in for September and December. We will post details nearer the time with contact numbers for tickets and times etc.We would love this to be a success, so please come along and have a 'Hooley'.

Alex, Noeleen, Gill and Richard
